Why Five Works
Per shelf, we aim for no more than five visual moments — a stack of books counts as one, a single vase as another. The limit forces editing and guarantees the negative space that makes a curated shelf feel intentional.
Group, Then Breathe
Cluster objects into small arrangements and leave clear gaps between them. The empty stretches are not wasted; they are what let each grouping read as a deliberate choice rather than an overflow of belongings.
